An old pool isn't a lost cause and a broken one usually isn't either. Pina Pools remodels and repairs gunite pools across the Permian Basin, and we build them from scratch too, so we know exactly what's behind the finish.

When something goes wrong with a pool, the fastest fix isn't always the right one. We diagnose by reading the structure instead of guessing at it, because we've spent fifty years putting that structure in the ground.
Leak Detection and Repair Losing more than a quarter inch a day beyond evaporation means you've got a leak. We locate it properly, whether it's in the shell, the plumbing, the skimmer throat or a light niche.
Cracks and Structural Damage Hairline surface cracks and structural cracks look similar to a homeowner and behave completely differently. We'll tell you which one you have and what it actually needs. Cosmetic work over a structural problem is money thrown away.
Plumbing Repair Broken return lines, collapsed suction lines, failed valves and equipment pad plumbing. Freeze damage is common here after a hard January.
Skimmers, Lights and Fittings Cracked skimmers, failed light niches, broken main drain covers and worn fittings.
Equipment Repair Pumps that won't prime, filters that won't hold pressure, heaters that won't fire, salt cells at end of life and dead automation panels.
Surface Damage Delaminating plaster, hollow spots, rough patches and staining that won't brush out.
Q: How often does a pool need resurfacing?
Most plaster finishes last around ten to fifteen years. Quartz and pebble go longer. Our hard water shortens that on the low end.
Q: Can you remodel a pool you didn't build?
Yes, and most of the pools we remodel are ones we didn't build.
Q: How do I know if my pool is leaking?
Set a bucket of pool water on a step, mark both levels, and check in 24 hours. If the pool dropped more than the bucket, you've got a leak.
Q: My pool cracked. Is it ruined?
Usually not. Most cracks are cosmetic. Structural cracks are repairable too, but they need to be addressed properly before any finish work goes over them.
Q: Do I have to drain the pool?
For interior resurfacing, yes. We handle draining and refilling, and we time it to avoid leaving the shell empty longer than necessary.
Q: Can you just do the deck?
Yes. Plenty of our remodels are decking only.
