How much does a custom pool cost in Odessa, TX?

It depends on size, depth, finish, decking and features. Any builder who gives you a number over the phone is guessing. We come out, look at the yard, and give you a real quote for free.

Why can't you quote over the phone?

Access, grade, soil and utility locations all change the cost, and we can't see any of that from a phone call. Quoting blind is how homeowners end up with change orders halfway through.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. We're a Lyon Financial dealer, and Lyon specializes in pool loans. Pre-approval takes a few minutes online and gives you a budget to design around.

Is a remodel cheaper than a new pool?

Considerably, as long as the shell is structurally sound. Resurfacing, retiling and new equipment get you most of the way to a new pool for a fraction of the cost.

How long does it take to build a pool?

Most custom gunite builds run eight to twelve weeks from dig to swim. Weather, permits and how quickly you make finish selections are the usual variables.

Why gunite instead of fiberglass or vinyl?

Gunite is steel reinforced concrete shot into place, so it can take any shape and it lasts decades. In West Texas soil that structural strength matters, because ground movement finds every weakness in a weaker pool.

How often does a pool need resurfacing?

Plaster typically lasts ten to fifteen years. Quartz and pebble last longer. Hard water shortens that on the low end.

How do I know if my pool has a leak?

Set a bucket of pool water on a step, mark the level inside and outside the bucket, and check after 24 hours. If the pool dropped more than the bucket did, you've got a leak.

What's the coolest pool decking for West Texas?

Natural stone, especially travertine, followed by light colored textured overlays. Dark concrete gets the hottest by a wide margin.

What areas do you serve?

Odessa, Midland, Andrews, Big Spring, Gardendale, Goldsmith, Penwell, West Odessa, Greenwood, Stanton, Monahans and Crane. If you're nearby and not listed, call and we'll tell you straight.
